The Least Coins for Super Mario Wonder, FFVII: Rebirth Prices Go Phoenix Down, and More!
Our favourite plumber returns today, finally! You’ve probably read the review already—it’s a damn fine sequel that ought to be bought. And this is where I come in, with the cheapest prices in the Mushroom or any other kingdom.
Oh, and I also can’t let you leave without saying this. Today is the 32 year anniversary of Streets of Rage, an all-time beat ’em up that’s a personal fave. I still maintain that Yuzo Koshiro’s soundtrack still slaps. And if you and I were ever to co-op this, I’d shotgun Axel but share all the floor chickens.
Wonder establishes a new standard for what 2D Mario platformers should look like. It is colorful, it is alive, and it is joyful. It also managed to surprise and delight me in continually more creative ways thanks to its unpredictable Wonder Effects. 9/10.
Time for you to see why we thought this was 9.2/10 material. RotOD stands as something wholly unique. An investigative puzzle game with clear goals but completely open ended paths to completing them. Give it a shot. Thank me later.
It’s also worth noting that the considerably less often discounted Electric Volt colour variant is going for this price, too. I just chose to highlight Pulse Red first because it goes faster.
Twenty bucks off one of the best (also PC compatible via bluetooth) controllers ever designed? That’s worth investigating. Especially if they’re fancypants variants like Gray Camo, Starlight Blue, Midnight Black, Galactic Purple or Cosmic Red.
